HomeLearnCopilot Credits planner

Tenant-level planning tool

See where Copilot Credits may add up.

Combine credit estimates across eligible Microsoft AI workloads, then compare the total with Microsoft's published pay-as-you-go and annual pre-purchase anchors. Your values stay in this page.

Your controlled inputs

Enter estimated monthly credits.

Use a Microsoft estimator, admin-center report, or bounded evaluation assumption. This tool does not infer consumption from headcount.

Keep the boundaries separate

One pool does not mean one entitlement.

Copilot Credits are pooled at the tenant level, but each product still has its own access, inclusion, and consumption rules.

Microsoft Copilot subscription

Native Copilot experiences, Work IQ grounding, and included Microsoft agents have their own per-user entitlement. Cowork has no included credit entitlement.

Work IQ APIs

Direct API use is metered. Native Microsoft Copilot use of Work IQ does not create an incremental Work IQ API charge.

Copilot Studio

Consumption depends on the selected harness, agent design, creation activity, runtime, user authentication, channel, and included entitlement conditions.

Business applications

Dynamics 365 and Power Platform use credits for eligible AI and agentic capabilities, subject to what the applicable product license already includes.

Microsoft-published purchase anchors

Compare commitment only after estimating demand.

Pay as you go is $0.01 per credit, billed in arrears. P3 is paid upfront for one year. Unused credits expire, and overage requires additional credits or pay as you go.

Questions for the responsible team

Plan access and spending together.

Who can consume?

Confirm spending policies, user and group access, and whether future supported services should inherit a policy automatically.

Where are limits set?

Review organization and user limits, alerts, threshold notifications, billing methods, and credit-request routing in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

What should be measured?

Review consumption by policy, user, group, agent, service, and funding source. Separate demand evidence from assumed savings.

Which agreement controls?

Both PAYG and P3 can decrement MACC. Confirm eligibility, region, currency, taxes, agreement, Product Terms, and current pricing before a decision.
